BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Due to the continuous increase in COVID-19 cases in the local area, Buckley AFB will augment some preventative measures on base.
Colonel Devin R. Pepper, Buckley Garrison Commander, still authorizes no more than 75 percent of non-mission essential personnel to return to duty while still emphasizing maximum use of telework which started on August 17, 2020. All personnel will continue to practice social distancing, good hygiene and appropriate face mask wear. Please follow face mask guidance as directed in the Public Health Emergency Document. To safeguard the good health of our installation the following measures will now be implemented:
Base entry (effective October 8, 2020):
● Windows are to remain up and IDs will be visually inspected through the glass
Group Restrictions (effective October 13, 2020):
● Group gatherings on the installation will be limited to no more than 25 individuals.
● Unit/Group PT will be suspended (both indoors and outdoors)
● Football and baseball fields will be closed to group activities. Only exception is unit PT testing
● Track will be limited to 25 people and face mask wear is mandatory when not running
The Buckley Garrison command team continues to partner with Team Buckley Leadership, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Tri-County Public Health Department, and local community and state leadership on the COVID-19 response.
