COARNG aviation maintenance shop keeps choppers in air

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – Members of the Colorado Army National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility performs maintenance on a UH-60 Black Hawk Oct. 4, 2012. The AASF ensures their fleet, consisting of Boeing CH-47 Chinooks, UH-60 Black Hawks, UH-72 Lakotas and a C-26 Metroliner, are ready for missions that include fighting wildfires, search-and-rescue, law enforcement support, reconnaissance of natural disasters, VIP transport, hay drops for stranded livestock and anything else the governor may request.
