On Jan. 25, 2015, the Navy Information Operations Command Colorado Color Guard team was cordially invited to represent the U.S. Navy at the Winter X Games 2015 Jan. 25, 2015, held in Aspen, Colorado.The team was comprised of five Sailors: Petty Officer 1st Class (IDW/SG) Christopher Guy, cryptologic technician, Petty Officer 2nd Class (IDW/SW) David Fiedler, cryptologic technician, Petty Officer 2nd Class (IDW/SW) Ian Evanskey, cryptologic technician, Petty Officer 2nd Class (IDW) Christopher Dizon, information system technician, and Petty Officer 3rd Class (IDW) Matthew Elder, cryptologic technician. The team honorably presented the colors during the playing of the national anthem before the Snow Cross Finals event. The team flawlessly executed the detailed maneuvers despite the snowy terrain on a national televised event. With a successful representation of not only NAVIOCOM Colorado, but the U.S. Navy as a whole, the Sailors built camaraderie with the community and promoted esprit de corps. (courtesy photo)
