STRATCOM CC visits Buckley AFB
U.S. Navy Adm. Cecil D. Haney (center), U.S. Strategic Command commander, and U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Patrick Z. Alston (center left), USSTRATCOM senior enlisted leader, met with members of the 460th Operations Group, 2nd Space Warning Squadron, and international partners during a visit to Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., April 20, 2015. During their visit, Haney and Alston toured Buckley’s missile warning facilities and met with Airmen and Sailors from the base to discuss their role in supporting USSTRATCOM’s global strategic missions. USSTRATCOM is one of nine DoD unified combatant commands and is charged with strategic deterrence; space operations; cyberspace operations; joint electronic warfare; global strike; missile defense; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; combating weapons of mass destruction; and analysis and targeting.
