World War II veterans take flight
(right) Ret. U.S. Air Force Col. Bill Myers and Ret. U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Morris L. Quick Jr., get ready to take flight inside a Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter June 17, 2016, at the Army Aviation Facility on Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. Quick and Myers are both part of the Order of Daedalians, which honors WWI aviators as the first to fly United States aircraft in a time of war. The two men, now in their late 90’s, both served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Both men have a connection with Colorado.
