BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. --   The Air Force Assistance Fund campaign is set to kick off here March 29, and will run through May 7.

According to the AFAF Web site, the campaign was established "to provide for an annual effort to raise funds...that provide support to the Air Force family (active-duty, retirees, reservists, guard and their dependents, including surviving spouses) in need."

The organizations the AFAF supports are the Air Force Enlisted Village Foundation, the Air Force Villages Foundation, the Air Force Aid Society and the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation.

"This fundraiser directly affects members of Buckley Air Force Base (through the Air Force Aid Society) and widows of those who have proudly served our nation (through the other charities)," said Capt. Christopher Castle, the Team Buckley Air Force Assistance Fund lead. "I feel that the generosity of the members of Team Buckley will be evident during our six-week fundraising campaign."

Individual donation forms will be distributed by unit points of contact as units work together to meet the base goal of $25,316.

More information on Team Buckley's AFAF campaign will be posted on the base Web site as it becomes available. Additionally, unit points of contact will shortly get in touch with their unit personnel to provide in-depth information and answer question regarding the campaign.

For base-wide information, contact Capt. Castle at 720-847-7265.
