      <title>Buckley’s AFAF kickoff supports Airmen and Guardians</title>

      <description>This month marks the annual kickoff for the Air Force Assistance Fund at Buckley Air Force Base which is scheduled to run from March 8 to April 16.

Through the adversities of last year, members across the installation raised over $17,000 in 2020 and are on pace to raise $23,740 in 2021.

      <description>For three nights, the stars were mirrored over two and a half acres as more than 6,000 luminaries flickered, each representing a life sacrificed in service to the nation.    
From Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, 2018, volunteers trickled in from the local community to assist in setting up, and then lighting the luminaries at the Colorado Freedom Memorial in Aurora, Colorado.
