Colorado is no stranger to the risk of wildland, grass, and vegetation fires. The risk of fire is high on Buckley Space Force Base and other areas in the Denver Metro area. It’s true that the wildfire season is longer than it used to be, it’s considered year-round in Colorado. As Team Buckley, we must all work together to help protect Buckley Space Force Base. Buckley Fire is always here to respond to emergency, but if we do our part to prepare, we can prevent many disasters from happening. Due to the geographic location of Buckley Space Force Base, we work with our community partners at the City of Aurora to identify the community burn restrictions (currently Stage 1 burn restriction). Pioneering Cyberspace Squadron hosts Mission Defense Team Conference

The 62d Cyberspace Squadron hosted a Mission Defense Team Conference at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., Sept. 10, 2020. The conference was held to collaborate across the Air and Space Force cyberspace communities.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., on March 13, 2020, Buckley Air Force Base leadership was notified that the pending results for a service member and his second child both came back negative for COVID-19.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., March 12, 2020, Buckley Air Force Base leadership was notified by the Tri-County Health Department, Colorado, that a child of a service member on Buckley tested negative for COVID-19. Additionally, the service member and his other child showed symptoms of COVID-19 and were tested and are pending results.

According to the Air Force Cyber Secure Campaign in 2016, 86 percent of the 8.2 million DoD e-mails received are malicious and blocked. U.S. adversaries use cyber tools to attempt to steal classified information and to copy intellectual property.
