Gathering for the holiday tradition of a tree lighting ceremony at headquarters, Buckley Space Force Base members and their families witnessed the surrounding area aglow with the warmth of the season, providing an opportunity for them to partake in a festive activity.

“We celebrate to protect the homeland and serve to ensure that we have peace,” remarked U.S. Space Force Col. Heidi Dexter, Space Base Delta 2 commander. “For the families that are gathered here, we thank you for your support and commitment.”

This tree is assembled and decorated each year by the 460th Civil Engineering Squadron. The tree lighting ceremony stands as a testament to the holiday spirit and unity that is shared among Buckley’s members and the community.

“I welcome all here as we light this tree as a symbol of our friendship and peace,” said Dexter.
