General Helms to celebrate Women’s History Month at Buckley

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Lt. Gen. Susan J. Helms, former 14th Air Force and Joint Functional Component Command for Space commander, will visit Buckley Air Force Base March 21 to speak to members of Team Buckley concerning Women's History Month.
Women's History Month is a national observance held during the month of March to honor the legacy of women's rights in the United States.
According the National Women's History Project website the Women's History Month theme for 2014, "Celebrating Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment," focuses on honoring the tenacity and determination of women throughout society and history.
Helms' visit will include a free dessert social with a speech and Q-and-A session. The social will be held at 2 p.m. March 21, at the ARPC Summit Conference Room. For more information or to register for the event call, 720-847-6870.
