Colonel Eamon R. Murray, is the is the Commander of Space Base Delta 2 at Buckley Space Force Base, Aurora, Colorado. As commander, he oversees operations providing Base Operating Support to more than 15,400 military, Department of Defense civilians and contractor personnel serving across 6 wings and equivalents, 117 tenant units, and 10 operating locations world-wide, executing critical United States Space Force Missile Warning and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions as well as Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Guard and Reserve missions in all domains.
Previously, Colonel Murray led space integration in IndoPacific Command strategy, planning, posture, security cooperation, wargaming, training, and exercises as the Director of Strategy, Plans, and Force Development at US Space Forces Indo-Pacific, the first-ever space component to a Combatant Command.
Colonel Murray commanded at the squadron level in the National Reconnaissance Office. His staff experience includes roles at U. S. Space Forces Indo-Pacific, at the National Security Agency, at the former Air Force Space Command, at the National Reconnaissance Office, and at Headquarters US Space Force in the Pentagon. His operational experience includes Officer-in-Charge of an intelligence team embedded with a Stryker Brigade Combat Team in Afghanistan, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile crew commander and instructor, and a missile warning and space surveillance crew commander, flight commander, and evaluator.
