BUCKLEY AIR FORCE FAMILY CHILD CARE PROGRAM
AIR FORCE FAMILY CHILD CARE (FCC) PROGRAM:
Our goal is to make quality child care available to military members and Department of Defense employees so that they may successfully perform their mission duties knowing their children are cared for in a safe, healthy, and loving environment. Family Child Care offers in-home care for children ages
2 weeks to 12 years in both on-installation housing and civilian communities. The Family Child Care Program is designed to provide an
alternative to center based care with flexible hours and small groups in home-like settings.
BECOME A FAMILY CHILD CARE PROVIDER:
Did you know that individuals caring for other families' children, more than 10 hours a week on a regular basis in on-base quarters, must be licensed by the installation commander? Would you like to open your own business? Do you like working with children? If so, perhaps you would be interested in a Family Child Care Provider career. The Buckley Family Child Care Program is currently recruiting child care providers to provide care for children with Special Needs and the Expanded Child Care Program which includes UTA/drill weekends. These individuals are given priority in licensing. If you are interested in becoming a licensed family child care provider, please contact Vanessa Dyer, Family Child Care Coordinator, at (720) 847-7211.
EXPANDED CHILD CARE PROGRAMS:
The Expanded Child Care (ECC) Program tailors short-term care to the unique needs of the children and their families in licensed/affiliated FCC homes.
Available are many programs that offer FREE child care to qualified service members and their families. Car for Unit Training assembly weekend, Extended Duty Care (EDC) Program, Home Community Care (HCC), Pre-Deployment and Deployment Child Care and Returning Home Care (RHC). To request care, the parent must complete the AF FCC ECC Registration.
