Buckley Space Force Base is located in Aurora, Colo., in Arapahoe County.
The new Buckley Visitor Center is located at the Mississippi Gate and is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for walk-ins and is closed on weekends, holidays and Space Base Delta 2 down days. Call 720-847-9381 for any questions or concerns.
The Mississippi gate is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can issue passes in the event the Visitor's Center is closed.
The 6th Avenue gate is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drill weekends, holidays and Space Base Delta 2 down days may impact hours.
The Telluride gate is closed until further notice.

When you arrive at Buckley, your first stop should be the commander's support staff to schedule in-processing.
You will need to take all hand-carried records immediately to the orderly room and they will schedule you for in-processing, conducted in Bldg. 606.
If you wish to take permissive temporary duty after arriving, a leave form must be completed. Up to eight days permissive temporary duty may be approved by the gaining commander after signing in.
Military Personnel Section Customer Support hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays.
Official Mail Center Prior to arrival you can open a general delivery mailbox that can be used for up to 90 days. For more information or to set up a mailbox, contact the official mail center at 720-847-9706.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rocky Mountain Lodge, 345 S. Beaver Creek St. Bldg 331 Authorized users of base lodging services include active duty military, National Guard, reservists, retirees, DoD contractors, DoD civilians, and their family members. Family members must have access to enter Buckley AFB or they can be sponsored by an authorized user.
Lodging will accept and confirm reservations for Priority 2 guests on a a space-available basis according to Air Force Instruction 34-246.

The Airman and Family Readiness Center, located in Bldg. 606, assists with individual and family needs of all Department of Defense personnel and their family members. The center provides information and referrals, volunteer opportunities, financial education, transition assistance, family life education, family readiness and other support services.
For spouses looking for employment opportunities, the AFRC has a computer resource room with Internet and e-mail capability along with job search seminars and individual assistance.

Most inbound unaccompanied service members who are senior airmen or below with less than three years of service are required to reside in unaccompanied housing. Others who are either higher ranking have the options of requesting on-base housing or living off-base.
People interested in living off base may contact the Housing Referral Office for assistance by calling 720-847-5692 or 720-847-5815 weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
To apply for on-base housing, read the welcome letter, and complete the DD Form 1746, AF Form 4422, and the Privacy Act Statement and email your request to buckleyhousingreferral@us.af.mil or call 720-847-5692.

Their office is located in Bldg. 606. They counsel military members on Tuition Assistance, MGIB & Post 9/11, CCAF, advanced degrees, Commissioning programs, and SkillBridge. They provide promotion testing, DL PME, CDC, DLPT, DLAB, and others. They also counsel dependents, helping them with scholarship information, getting started with their Post 9/11 benefits and any assistance they might need to start or continue with their degree.

It is important that you contact the Inbound Personal Property Section at the Traffic Management Office at 720-847-6685 as soon as you arrive in the area.
Personal property is defined as household goods, unaccompanied baggage or mobile homes and do-it-yourself moves.
The owner must provide the Personal Property Section with a telephone number and a temporary or delivery address in order to arrange for prompt delivery of property.
Temporary storage at government expense for up to 90 days may be authorized if your property arrives before you or, you cannot find suitable living quarters. You may become personally liable for storage and insurance beyond 90 days if you do not notify the Personal Property Section.
The commercial carrier is required to unpack your property at its final destination and place it in the rooms you indicate

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE FAMILY CHILD CARE PROGRAM AIR FORCE FAMILY CHILD CARE (FCC) PROGRAM: Our goal is to make quality child care available to military members and Department of Defense employees so that they may successfully perform their mission duties knowing their children are cared for in a safe, healthy, and loving environment. Family Child Care offers in-home care for children ages 2 weeks to 12 years in both on-installation housing and civilian communities. The Family Child Care Program is designed to provide an alternative to center based care with flexible hours and small groups in home-like settings. BECOME A FAMILY CHILD CARE PROVIDER: Did you know that individuals caring for other families' children, more than 10 hours a week on a regular basis in on-base quarters, must be licensed by the installation commander? Would you like to open your own business? Do you like working with children? If so, perhaps you would be interested in a Family Child Care Provider career. The Buckley Family Child Care Program is currently recruiting child care providers to provide care for children with Special Needs and the Expanded Child Care Program which includes UTA/drill weekends. These individuals are given priority in licensing. EXPANDED CHILD CARE PROGRAMS: The Expanded Child Care (ECC) Program tailors short-term care to the unique needs of the children and their families in licensed/affiliated FCC homes.
