Colonel Jennifer A. McGinniss is the Deputy Commander of Space Base Delta 2 at Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado. She oversees a 1,020-member team providing Base Operating Support to more than 800 military, Department of War civilians and contractor personnel serving at 14 operating locations world-wide, executing critical United States Space Force Missile Warning and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions. In addition, the installation hosts 6 wings (or equivalents) and 109 tenant organizations as well as supporting over 14,000 base personnel and 98,000 retirees.
Colonel McGinniss began her military career as an enlisted member before earning her commission in 2003 through the ROTC program at the University of New Hampshire (Det 475). Throughout her career, she has held diverse leadership and staff positions spanning multiple squadron commands, Major Command Staff, Office of Secretary of War and joint organizations. Most recently, she served at the highest level of enterprise resource management as the Senior Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of War (Comptroller)/CFO at the Pentagon, ensuring seamless integration between strategic financial policy and operational defense requirements.
