460th MDG receives new commander

Lt. Col. Shannon Phares took command of the 460th Medical Group from Col. Matthew Hanson, June 29, 2018, on Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado. Col. Troy Endicott, 460th Space Wing commander, presided over the ceremony and transferred the guidon from Hanson to Phares, symbolizing the change of authority from one member to another. As part of their arrival, each new commander is asked a series of questions to show Team Buckley their personality.
Here's Phare's First Five:

What do you love most about medical Airmen? I appreciate their work ethic and the way they work as a team. If you give them an expectation, they know what the mission is and they make it happen.

How do you feel about the direction the base is taking? It's a new frontier for me, no pun intended, but i think its going to be pretty fantastic and I think the world has recognized the incredible value of space and the role it plays.

What are you most excited for at Buckley AFB? Working with the Airmen, big time.

Do you like pineapple on pizza? Oh yeah, I lived in Hawaii for three years and sweet and salty is the perfect combination. It’s what people are made out of; sweet and salty

What super power would you have and why? The ability to teleport because you have to be so many places at once and so quickly. It'd be easy to just *teleport sound* here and there.
