4th of July holiday hours to take effect Published July 2, 2013 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- With Independence Day weekend right around the corner, many base organizations will be adopting new holiday hours. Beginning 2:30 p.m. July 2 medical facilities, finance and DEERS customer service areas, legal assistance, and the pharmacy will be closed for the day. Most areas of the 460th Space Wing will close on Independence Day, as well as the Air Force Space Command Family Day July 5. A-Basin Child Development Center will be closed, with consolidated care at the Crested Butte CDC 6:15 a.m.-5:45 p.m. The Youth Center will be closed July 4-6. Additionally, there is no free Fellowship Luncheon at the Chapel due to the holiday. Luncheons will resume Aug. 7 featuring sloppy-joe sandwiches. Holiday hours of operation for the Buckley Fitness Center and Outdoor Recreation are listed below. Outdoor Recreation: July 3: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. July 4: Closed July 5: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. July 6: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. July 7: Closed Fitness Center: July 3: 5 a.m.-10 p.m. July 4: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. July 5: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. July 6: 6 a.m.-9 p.m. July 7: 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Contact each respective organization for additional information.
