Buckley Fitness Center hosts badminton tournament

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The Buckley Fitness Center hosted a badminton tournament Jan. 23 to crown the best Team Buckley badminton duo.

Eight teams battled it out over the net, but when the dust settled, it was the 460th Force Support Squadron team that took top honors.

"I like these tournaments because it is different from the mainstream sports like football and basketball," said Eric Vesey, 310th Mission Support Group, Air Force Reserve Command.

Badminton may sometimes be considered an easy sport, but Jonathan McKeever, 460th Medical Group, begs to differ.

"Intense, grueling, stressful--three words to describe it," said McKeever.
