In recent months the Buckley Clinic has experienced large numbers of personnel, both active duty and dependents, who have sought urgent care without prior authorization. The clinic is aware that access to care at the military treatment facility can be difficult at times with readiness exercises and medical training; however, beneficiaries are not allowed to seek urgent care without prior authorization.

If you find yourself in need of medical care either after hours or during the duty day please call 720-847-WELL (9355). During the duty day, if access to the clinic is unavailable, the clinical staff will assess your need and either attempt to provide medical resolution or provide you with referral authorization to seek medical care at your nearest network urgent care facility. You can obtain a list of network urgent care facilities online at www.triwest.com.

If you have a non-emergency (not life, limb or eyesight threatening) medical concern after duty hours, call 720-847-WELL. The on-call provider will assist you. If a referral authorization is required, they will provide you with approval to seek care from an urgent care facility.

If you choose to seek urgent care without prior authorization you will be subject to a point-of-service charge.
