460th Medical Group creates sick call Published Sept. 24, 2009 By Tech. Sgt. J. LaVoie 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Nov. 2 the 460th Medical Group will begin an active duty sick call from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Bldg. 600. Active duty members will not need an appointment; they will walk into Bldg. 600, which is the flight medicine clinic, on Buckley Air Force Base. After arrival, Airmen will be prioritized and seen by one of three doctors. Currently Airmen must make an appointment to be seen at Aurora North, or be referred to an Acute Care clinic. "We needed a more efficient method to care for active duty members with acute illness," said Lt. Col. James Jablonski, 460th Medical Operations Squadron commander. "This is an effort to try and meet both needs." Buckley Airmen are pleased with the idea. "It's a good idea," said Airman 1st Class Isaac Turner, 460th Communication Squadron dormitory resident. "It's a lot better than having to go all the way out to (Aurora North from the dorms) when you're sick."
