CCRI approaching quickly Published April 30, 2015 By Senior Airman Joshua Smith 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- A Defense Information Systems Agency inspection team will be conducting a Command Cyber Readiness Inspection July 20-24. The CCRI is a triennial inspection that assesses the operational readiness of Buckley AFB's networks. It is the equivalent of a unit effectiveness inspection of the base's networks and security practices. The inspection focuses on adherence to standards, as well as checks the base's networks and information systems for vulnerabilities. While the 460th Space Communications Squadron is working diligently to ensure Buckley AFB is compliant, all network users are needed to do their part. Some tips for users to ensure unit compliance include: -Properly label disc media and have proper classification markings on communications equipment -Properly safeguard classified systems -Do not pass any classified information over unclassified means -Pull your Common Access Card and SIPR tokens before leaving your computer -Verify security clearances -Escort unauthorized personnel -Know your unit security manager and Information Assurance Officer -Use document cover sheets and face your monitors away from your doors and windows For more information, contact your unit information assurance officer.
