Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., hosted a visit from Gen. David L. Goldfein, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, on May 25.

After being greeted by Team Buckley leadership, Goldfein was introduced to members of the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard. Mission briefs were provided by the 140th Operations Group, Maintenance Group, Medical Group and Explosive Ordinance Disposal Flight, the 233rd Space Group and the 200th Airlift Squadron, using static displays on the flightline.

During his time on the flightline, Goldfein went out of his way several times to speak with junior enlisted Airmen, thank them for their service and present them with coins in recognition of their accomplishments.

Once the 140th Wing completed their briefs, Goldfein and Buckley leadership headed to the Mission Control Station, where members of the 460th OG discussed their current and future mission.

Finally, before departing Buckley AFB, Goldfein visited the Aerospace Data Facility-Colorado, where he was given a museum tour, operations floor tour, innovation highlights briefing and a complete mission overview.
