AFSPC units approved for wearing ABUs Mondays Published Nov. 30, 2012 BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Col. Daniel Dant, 460th Space Wing commander, announced Nov. 30 that per guidance from Air Force leadership the uniform of the day, including Mondays, will be the Airman Battle Uniform effective Dec. 3. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark A. Welsh III relayed his decision to commanders at major commands to implement as they saw fit. Gen. William L. Shelton, commander of Air Force Space Command, approved the change for the command. Opportunities will remain for service members to wear dress uniforms, thus members should maintain the uniform according to Air Force Instruction 36-2903, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel.
