Daylight saving time will occur Nov. 4 when clocks will turn back one hour at 2 a.m.

Daylight saving time affects the majority of the U.S., to include Colorado. Some states do not observe the change, such as Hawaii and Arizona.

According to www.timeanddate.com, Benjamin Franklin first suggested daylight saving time in 1784. William Willett, an English builder, is credited with the invention of daylight saving time. He published the proposal to advance clocks during summer months and introduced it to the House of Commons in February 1908. The concept was not adopted until several European countries implemented daylight saving time during World War I.

Senior Master Sgt. Charles Hoag, 460th Space Communications Squadron operations superintendent, looks forward to daylight saving time because it allows more time during the day for activities when there's more daylight, he said.

Remember to set your clocks back one hour Sunday night. Otherwise, you may end up at work an hour early.
