Go wild at the zoo

Bored on Buckley? The Denver Zoo is in the spotlight this week giving visitors an opportunity to get out and see some exotic animals.

The zoo offers more than 80 acres of sprawling exhibits featuring approximately 4,000 animals consisting of 700 species. Animals include everything from lions, tigers and bears to komodo dragons, kangaroos and elephants. Of these species at the Denver Zoo, 188 are considered to be threatened or endangered, while three species are extinct in the wild.
