The Buckley Air Force Base Chapel hosted its monthly fellowship luncheon on Aug. 3.
Buckley Chapel's staff, hosts these luncheons on the first Wednesday of every month, and has been doing so since the spring of 2001.

These gatherings have been put in place to give members of Team Buckley the opportunity to fellowship with one another while becoming familiar with the chaplains and the many different programs they have to offer.

"Before the Chapel was built, the luncheons were temporarily hosted in the module building, where the meals were cooked using hot plates and crock pots," said Debbie Cruz, Chapel secretary. We are blessed to have this new facility."

Over time it has become one of the biggest and best- known events on Buckley.
As people began to fill the tables, Chaplain (Capt.) Gary Coburn, senior Protestant chaplain, and Chaplain Candidate (2nd Lt.) Jason Rupp welcomed them with open arms.

These luncheons are open to absolutely anyone who desires to come out and take part in the comradery that Team Buckley provides.

On the menu for Sept. 7 is a traditional Hawaiian lunch-plate. This plate includes smoked pork, macaroni salad, rice and chocolate macadamia nut cookies.
