Lt. Gen. Larry James, 14th Air Force Commander, visited Buckley Air Force Base, Dec 16.

During his visit, the general conducted a commander's call, addressing the 12 core functions of the Air Force, as well as praising Team Buckley's mission accomplishment during this critical time of battle space awareness.

"Out of the 12 there are four main enduring functions in the Air Force we are responsible for," said General James. "The first one is dominating the domains in air, space, and cyber. Second, is intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. The third task is global mobility, and last but not least is command and control."

"We are critical in watching over our battle space awareness," said General James. "We are the heart of the envelope. Today's type of warfare is different. said General James. "It is about getting the information to the right people at the right time, so that they can make the right decisions. Team Buckley has to continue to set a high standard in every task that we do in order to complete the mission."

"Our focus needs to be on winning," he added. "That is the mindset we need to continue to have in order to be successful."

By doing these simple tasks, General James assures Team Buckley that each and every Airman can go home every day and say "I have made a difference."
