Fourteen teams of two competed for personal glory and bragging rights in Team Buckley's Adventureman Race July 24. Two categories, all-male and co-ed, divided the teams.

The event consisted of a 15-mile endurance course, which competitors took turns biking and running. Along the way were various challenges, some of which needed to be completed or the team would receive a five-minute penalty, and some of which, when completed, awarded a five-minute bonus off their overall time.

The aptly-named Team Awesome (Vincent Vitale and Nathan Meer) took first place in the male team with a total time of 1:20:49, followed in that category by Team Catan (Robert Kafka and Micah Yount) with 1:20:57 and Team Murph (Thomas Sahagun and Tracy Kugle) with 1:21:04.

Team TDR (Tyler Denfeld and Rochelle Russell) took first co-ed team honors with a total time of 1:26:00. Second and third-place honors went to Team HOP2 (Aries Hopf and Eric Leyva) with 1:35:38 and Team Mosley (Mica Koefod and Jessica Gruver-Koefod) with 1:41:44, respectively.

Other competitors included Team Del Fuegos (Chris Uremovich and Reyna Ricardo), Team Fraznik (Eugene Budnik and Willie Frazier), Team Kep-up and Mayo (Kevin Koepke and Matt Mayo), Team Dumb and Dumber (Toni Curry and Michael Fallona), Team Bar None (John Rosetti and Ely Nava), Team Taddem (Brian Yoakam and Chris Barnes), Team Spider (Paul Ramirez and Steve Delaney) and Team PALONGA (Shawn Longa and Stephen Palad).
