Tax season may have officially ended April 15, but Paul Frank, the tax contact representative with the 460th Space Wing Legal Office, has compiled statistics on the season after thorough review.

According to Mr. Frank, the Buckley Tax Center helped clients complete 433 Federal and 399 state tax forms, saving a total of $94,000 in professional tax preparation fees during its twelve-week run from Jan. 25 to April 15.

Ten volunteers from 460th Civil Engineer Squadron, 566th Intelligence Squadron, Navy Information Operations Command - Colorado, Air Reserve Personnel Center and the 2nd Space Warning Squadron ran the center, assisting at least half a day each week. The 566th IS volunteer, alongside Mr. Frank, worked the center full time.

From combined Federal and state refunds, the tax center's clients received a total of $1,365,547.

The tax center is scheduled to open again in January 2011. For tax questions before that, call Mr. Frank at 720-847-6444.
