Buckley to host Military Retiree Appreciation Day Published June 4, 2010 By Bob Van Sciver Buckley Retiree Activities Office BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The 460th Space Wing will host the 12th Annual Military Retiree Appreciation Day June 19 to honor military retirees from all branches of service in Northern Colorado. Retired servicemembers and their families are invited to attend activities at the Leadership Development Center, Bldg. 1032, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The keynote speaker for the event will be retired Army Maj. Gen. William Matz Jr., National Association for Uniformed Services president, who will discuss issues concerning retirees. Dozens of support agencies, retiree and veterans groups will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Retirees will also have an opportunity to renew identification cards, prepare wills and seek powers of attorney. Participating organizations include the Veterans Administration, the National Association for Uniformed Services, the American Legion, the Fleet Reserve Association, the Military Officer Association, the Air Force Association, the Retired Enlisted Association, Arapahoe County Veterans Service Office, Veterans Administration Medical Center, TriWest Healthcare Alliance, Buckley Casualty Affairs and much more.
