May Military Justice File released Published June 2, 2010 460th Space Wing Legal Office BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- If you do the crime, you do the time! This is true in the U.S. Air Force. The following is a summary of punitive actions Buckley Airmen received in May. An airman received an Article 15 for disrespect toward a senior NCO and being drunk and disorderly. The Airman received a reduction in grade to E-1, suspended forfeiture of $723 pay per month for two months, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand. An airman 1st class and an airman were each administratively discharged after a series of minor disciplinary infractions. An airman 1st class requested and was granted administrative discharge in lieu of trial by court-martial after being charged with several drug-related violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. A staff sergeant pled guilty off base to driving under the influence and received a suspended 180-day jail sentence, one year supervised probation, alcohol classes, 24 hours additional community service and must pay all court costs as well as fines totaling $774.50. In addition, the Airman received a Letter of Reprimand, an Unfavorable Information File was opened and the Airman was placed on the control roster. An airman pled guilty off base to driving under the influence and was ordered to attend alcohol education, complete 48 hours of community service and pay all courts costs as well as fines totaling $675.50. Additionally, the Airman is pending discharge from the Air Force.
