Buckley hosts prayer breakfast Published April 13, 2010 By Tech. Sgt. J. LaVoie 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- The base chapel recently hosted Chap. (Brig. Gen.) David Cyr, Air Force Chaplain Corps deputy chief, for the annual prayer breakfast. Chaplain Cyr spoke at the event, which was themed "God Bless America." He spoke about what this meant to him. "America has been a blessing in the past. God continues to bless us so we may be a blessing to others," said Chaplain Cyr. "Wherever there is calamity we are the first to respond. It's just what we do, we will respond." He went on to quote an old adage, that America is great, because America is good. If America ever ceases to be good, it will cease to be great. He thanked the military and civilians in the audience for continuing to make America great, and therefore great. Chaplain Cyr specifically recognized Staff Sgt. Charles Dalton, 460th Security Forces Squadron, for efforts on a recent deployment with a coin.
