CE hosts 3rd annual Prime Beef Slaughterhouse Halloween event Published Oct. 5, 2009 By Mr. Graham Foley 460th Civil Engineer Squadron Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. -- As the weather turns cold and the days grow shorter, it is only natural to look back on another summer passed and lament. Gone are the lazy days by the pool and afternoon baseball games that spark the celebration of the warmest part of the year. But fear not, thrill seekers. Or should I say, be fear-full. It is once again haunted house season, and the 460th Civil Engineer Squadron is hosting its third annual Prime Beef Slaughterhouse. Located right here on Buckley Air Force Base and supported by the 460th CES Unit Advisory Council, the prime beef slaughterhouse promises big-time scares for a small price tag. The unit advisory council supports Airmen and their families by offering great morale boosting events including children's functions and holiday parties. Because the slaughterhouse is one of its most successful fundraisers, the UAC puts everything they have into a unique and outstanding display of ghouls and ghosts. The result is a horrifying experience that promises to deliver the terror yet again. This year, the 460th CES has added a family friendly trick-or-treat event on Halloween day for all of the little monsters as well. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 31, feel free to bring the youngsters by for a G-rated celebration with plenty of candy for all. The prime beef slaughterhouse, located at building 1006, is open the weekend of Oct. 23 to 25, and Oct. 28 to 30. Hours of operation are 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. , and the cost is only $5.
