Airman 1st Class Adam Christopherson, 460th Space Communications Squadron

Airman 1st Class Adam Christopherson, 460th Space Communications Squadron network management technician, is Team Buckley's Warrior of the Week for July 25 - Aug. 1.

Airman Christopherson has served in the Air Force for one year, seven months and hails from Beaver Falls, Penn. Beaver Falls is also the hometown of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath.

What is the combat capability that this person exemplified to earn the title, "Warrior of the Week?"

"Airman Christopherson is always motivated and consistently seeks opportunities to challenge himself and further the mission. He's been a key ingredient to our work center's continued success," said Staff Sgt. Micah Yount, Airman Christopherson's supervisor.

How do your day-to-day duties impact the Air Force mission?

"I configure, maintain, and control the entire Buckley network, which supports the flow of data critical for the day-to-day operations of the base and total global vigilance."

If you could change one thing about the Air Force what would it be?

"If I could change one thing about the Air Force it would be to have more Airmen involvement in uniform changes."

Why do you serve?

"I serve for the fact that I have direct involvement in the safety of my family and my country."

What has been your most memorable experience in the Air Force?

"My most memorable experience in the Air Force so far is having my parents present when I was given my Airmen's coin while graduating Basic Training."

What is your most memorable personal accomplishment?

"My most memorable personal accomplishment so far was going out on my first job and successfully troubleshot without the assistance of my peers or supervisor."

If you were not in the military, where would you be? Why?

"If I were not in the military I would be either back home in Pennsylvania or North Carolina following the footsteps of my parents instead of making my own life decisions."

Where would you like to be in 10 years? What would you be doing?

"In 10 years I would like to take one of two paths; either raising my family with the job security given to me by the military, or traveling the world soaking in all the heritage and tradition of different groups of people."
