Four of Team Buckley's finest were recently recognized as being best at what they do when Air Force Space Command announced their 2008 A1 -- manpower and personnel -- awards.

Ms. Sally Staschke, 460th Mission Support Squadron, was recognized as the base-level Personnel Junior Manager of the Year.

Mr. Robert Andrews, 460th MSS, was recognized as the support-level Education and Training Manager -- Senior Civilian.

Senior Master Sgt. Robert McGinn, 460th MSS, was recognized as the base-level Career Assistance Advisor of the Year.

Ms. Birgit Baldwin, 460th Mission Support Group, was recognized as the base-level Services Senior Civilian Manager of the Year.

Although these are individual awards, the recipients said it was a team effort that helped them earn their award.

"Being recognized as Career Advisor of the Year for Space Command is truly an honor," said Sergeant McGinn. "It's always a good feeling when you are chosen as the best among your peers. I'm especially happy to showcase the outstanding professional development we provide here for the members of Team Buckley."

Mr. Andrews agreed with Sergeant McGinn about teamwork paving the way for his award.

"Although I am being recognized, many of the things that were accomplished were a team effort for the Force Development Flight. From co-workers to our flight chief we all contributed and I especially thank them," said Mr. Andrews.
