Buckley AFB to host Military Retiree Appreciation Day

The 460th Space Wing will host the 11th-annual Military Retiree Appreciation Day July 19, to honor military retirees from all branches of service in Northern Colorado.

Retired members and their families are invited to attend activities in Hangar 909 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The keynote speaker will be Retired Army Maj. Gen. William Matz, Jr., President of the National Association of Uniformed Services, who will talk about issues concerning retirees.

Dozens of support agencies, retiree and veterans groups will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.

Participating organizations include: the Veterans Administration, Veterans of Foreign Wars, National Association of Uniformed Services, American Legion, Fleet Reserve Association, Disabled American Veterans, Military Officers Association, Air Force Association, Non-Commissioned Officers Association, Retired Enlisted Association, Social Security Administration, VA Medical Center, TriWest Healthcare Alliance, Casualty Affairs, and much more. Retirees will also have the opportunity to renew their identification cards and execute wills and power of attorneys.
