The 460th Military Personnel Element rolled out a new phone number March 7 for Team Buckley to call for a quick connection to a personnel technician.

The new phone number is 720-847-HELP (4357) and is manned from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

By dialing this new number the customer can quickly be connected to the agency they need service from.

Senior Master Sgt. John Dougherty, 460th Mission Support Squadron superintendent, said the purpose of going to this new system was for the Air Force to realign the base-level personnel community under the Base Level Services Delivery Model which centralizes personnel services under the MSS umbrella.

"Customers no longer need to remember what number to call for promotions, re-enlistments or evaluations," Sergeant Dougherty said. "It is simple. A call for help and you (will) have menu access to all military personnel agencies in the wing."

This new process will reduce the number of calls that go to voice mail because personnel in all sections will be able to answer the call which also benefits the technician.

"It directly supports our learning organization concept," the MSS Superintendent said. "When a customer dials 7-HELP, it is like calling a contact center or bank of personnel who are ready to assist."

The help line provides customers with answers on many topics. They include: career development for assignments, re-enlistments, retraining or separations; customer service for identification cards, insurance or inprocessing; force management for evaluations, duty status and leave processing; readiness for deployments; 460 Military Personnel Element leadership and systems management for computer support.
