  • Published
Tech. Sgt. Trevor Dunn, a flight chief, from the 460th Security Forces Squadron, is the Warrior of the Week for Dec. 7 to 13.

Time in Service: 15 years

Hometown: Oklahoma City

Hobbies: Spending off-duty time with my wife and children and playing golf

What is the combat capability that you exemplified to earn the title, "Warrior of the Week?"
I recently returned from a deployment to a sensitive, hostile environment created by terrorism, nuclear, biological, chemical or conventional warfare in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. I also trained 45 Army personnel in area security operations, which doubled combat power and capability within the tactical area of responsibility.

How do your day-to-day duties impact the Air Force mission?
I supervise and manage the operation of a 30-person security forces element to ensure compliance with base policy, and to make sure safety standards are adhered to. I am also responsible for reviewing correspondence to provide commanders and senior leadership with accurate, up-to-date information on the readiness of their personnel.

If you could change one thing about the Air Force what would it be?
I would improve all levels of communication up and down the chain of command.

What has been your most memorable experience in the Air Force?
I was privileged with the opportunity of working in a joint environment while deployed in support of OIF and OEF.

Why do you serve?
To ensure our nation's freedom and to carry on the long-lived traditions that our forefathers fought for many years ago.
