Angel Tree brings brighter holidays to disadvantaged children

The Buckley first sergeants, Operation Warmheart and the Buckley Spouses Group are sponsoring an Angel Tree this holiday season.

The Angel Tree project provides children and family members of all services' and units' E-5's and below a gift.

The Angel Tree, which is located in the base exchange lobby area, displays anonymous angel tags that represent children who need a little help to make the season a little brighter. On the back of each tag is the age and sex of each child, along with their gift wish and clothing sizes.

Those who wish to contribute may just pick a tag, shop for the "angel" and place your unwrapped gift with the angel tag attached in the collection box by the Angel Tree.

The BSG members will collect the gifts daily and coordinate distribution to the children through their first sergeants.

For more information, call Mrs. Carrie Winningham , the Angel Tree point of contact, at 303-627-2573.
