BUCKLEY SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. -- After two years of development, the Buckley Space Force Base pharmacy team is proud to unveil a new ScriptCenter kiosk designed to improve the patient experience by reducing wait times and expanding access to medications outside of standard pharmacy hours.
The ScriptCenter is a free, no-contact kiosk where prescriptions, once filled by the pharmacy, are securely stored for convenient pickup. Located inside the Buckley SFB Exchange, across from ENT Credit Union, the kiosk is available during Exchange lobby hours. Prescriptions must be picked up within 14 days, after which they will be returned to the pharmacy.
ScriptCenter Hours of Operation:
Sunday: 0800-1700
Monday - Saturday: 0700-1900
First time users will need to complete a simple enrollment process directly at the kiosk. Please note that refrigerated, controlled substances, renewals, mixtures, and oversized prescriptions are not eligible for ScriptCenter pickup.
This service is available to all eligible DoD ID holders, including active duty members, retirees, dependents, and other beneficiaries. Service members can pick up prescriptions after their duty hours, allowing them to maintain their focus on the mission, retirees can avoid potential lines at the pharmacy, and dependents can retrieve medications at their convenience.
At Buckley SFB, maintaining mission readiness is paramount. Our service members and their families are the cornerstone of our 24/7, no-fail mission, which demands constant vigilance and peak performance. The ScriptCenter directly supports this by allowing Airmen and Guardians to pick up prescriptions at times that fit their demanding and changing schedules, minimizing disruptions to their duties and ensuring they can maintain their focus on the mission. This improved access to medication helps them remain healthy, fit to fight, and fully prepared to execute their critical roles.
Bringing the ScriptCenter to Buckley SFB was a collaborative effort involving numerous teams, including the pharmacy, medical logistics, medical information systems, Army and Air Force Exchange Service, and the Information Technology Flight. The project also involved months of coordination for trainings, delivery, network operability checks and other essential logistics.
“This initiative took a lot of effort, from not just the medical team, but also from several agencies across the installation, specially the AAFES leadership team and the base IT Flight” said Col Liana Vogel, 460th Medical Group Commander. “The ScriptCenter kiosk is one of the most effective ways we can better serve our shift workers who support the 24/7, no-fail mission as well as all of our beneficiaries in the Buckley community. It’s about improving access to care for all of our service members, retirees and the family members who support them.”
