Panther of the Week: Airman 1st Class Adriana Robinson Published Jan. 4, 2016 460 SW/PA BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Name: Airman 1st Class Adriana Robinson Unit/Job title: 460th Security Forces Squadron Alarm Monitor Length of Service: 2 years Hometown: Wilmington, NC Hobbies: Reading and spending time with her son Unique fact: Robinson sang the National Anthem for her tech school graduation Robinson joined the Air Force in 2014 and Buckley Air Force Base is her first duty station. Since arriving, she has been assigned as a clerk at the Buckley AFB Visitor Control Center and serves in various law enforcement duties on one of four operational security forces flights. Robinson is married to a fellow defender, Stone, and they have one son. She has done outstanding work since her arrival. She is a proud law enforcement officer, a dedicated spouse and, more recently, a loving mother. While on duty Robinson is charged with protecting and defending Buckley AFB and the personnel and resources that call this installation home. She is a dedicated defender who takes this responsibility seriously. Early in December, Robinson was posted as an installation entry controller when a suspicious vehicle pulled up to her post. The driver was disoriented, not authorized on base, and ultimately apprehended for having a loaded firearm in the vehicle. Robinson reacted just as she was trained and her swift thinking resulted in a dangerous individual being taken into custody. Robinson exemplifies integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do and Buckley AFB is a safer place because of defenders like her. - Maj. Jason Stack, 460th Security Forces Squadron commander
