Buckley spouse honored as one of "40 under 40" Published June 29, 2015 By Airman 1st Class Emily E. Amyotte 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Christy Raines, Azimuth Wealth Management Inc. president and a Buckley Air Force Base spouse, has been recognized as one of Fortune Magazine's "40 under 40" for 2015. The "40 under 40" list highlights ambitious business men and women, all under the age of 40, chosen for their accomplishments and contributions to the financial industry. "It's an honor to be recognized with this group of highly accomplished individuals," Raines remarked. "I am extremely passionate about working with my clients to understand their unique financial situation and to craft customized plans to achieve their goals. It's a process all about the client and working to transform their dreams into reality. I get to watch those dreams materialize over the years with clients that are like family to me. What could be better than that?" Raines was chosen from a pool of over 1,200 nominees by representatives from InvestmentNews. "It is with great pleasure that I congratulate Christy on being recognized by InvestmentNews and honored on this list of noteworthy industry professionals," said Wayne Bloom, Commonwealth Financial Network Inc.'s CEO. "Christy exhibits the qualities of a successful advisor. She is deeply focused, inspiring, innovative--and just getting started." According to an interview on InvestmentNews' website, Raines says that the hardest part of her career has been her numerous relocations due to being a military spouse, but she's been able to overcome it by developing and keeping trusting relationships with her clients. "Once people find someone they trust in this line of work, they don't want to give you up," she said. "The geography is just not as important." Her husband, Lt. Col. Christopher R. Raines, Communications Operations Squadron West commander, says that he's impressed by his wife and her accomplishments and is excited to see what she does next. "I'm extremely proud," Christopher said. "She's worked very hard. She had this vision of building her own business before we even came to Buckley the first time back in 2008. And it's not just that her business is surviving, it's that she's getting national recognition from this, and it's pretty impressive."
