Nowakowski 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- SnoFest is back, and it's time to rally the military community for a weekend of entertainment that won't break the bank. The 25th annual event will be held Jan. 23 - 24, 2015, at Keystone Resort, Colo. SnoFest is sponsored by the United States Air Force Academy, Peterson AFB, Schriever AFB, Buckley AFB and F.E. Warren AFB. This event is open to all active-duty military personnel, DOD civilians, retirees and their families. "This is an opportunity for military members to participate in Colorado winter activities at discounted rates," said Debra Ponzio, Force Support Squadron communication and sustainment services flight chief. SnoFest is an opportunity to enjoy all the amenities Keystone Resort has to offer and doesn't cater only to skiers and snowboarders. From sleigh rides, tubing, ice-skating and snowshoeing to parties, giveaways, beer and wine tasting, a cardboard derby and deals on lodging, SnoFest offers a variety of fun activities. Buses will be available for transport to and from Keystone Resort on both Feb. 23 and 24. Tickets for the buses are required and seats are limited. They can be purchased through the Buckley Outdoor Recreation Center. "SnoFest is a blast," said Master Sgt. Quick, 460th Space Communication Squadron network operations branch chief. "I would recommend it to anyone." Whether planning on coming with friends or gathering up the whole family, SnoFest offers something fun and exciting for all ages at a discounted price.
