Col. John W. Wagner will assume command of the 460th Space Wing during a 9:00 a.m. change-of-command ceremony June 12 at the multipurpose field on base.

Wagner, who previously led the 614th Air and Space Operations Center and the Joint Space Operations Center, Vandenberg AFB, California; will replace Col. Dan Wright, who has served as 460th SW commander since June 2013.

During the ceremony, Lt. Gen. John Raymond, 14th Air Force commander, will officially pass the wing's guidon from Wright to Wagner, symbolizing the transition of leadership.

In addition to providing space-based missile warning and awareness for combatant commands across the globe, the 460th SW is the host unit to Buckley AFB, serving 84 partner organizations and over 90,000 servicemembers, veterans, retirees and dependents in the Front Range.
