It starts with an idea, then an email and ends with Team Buckley gathered in formation in physical training gear.

This is WarFit; a program driven each month by Chief Master Sgt. Craig S. Hall, 460th Space Wing command chief, and headed up by individual units. Each month a new organization will take up the WARFIT flag and lead the base in a fitness routine that builds both endurance and esprit de corps.

The last round of monthly WarFit ran by the 460th Medical Group, blended base history with a workout plan designed to challenge each member of the base.

"I hope those who attended WarFit got a sense of pride in where we come from and what we have and what we do here at Buckley," said Capt. Samuel Hubler, 460th MDG pharmacy officer in charge. "As we do our work here today we are also blazing a trail for those to follow. We have the opportunity every day to impact the future."

While each month and unit varies in the approach to WarFit, the workout always has one thing in common.

"WarFit gives us an opportunity to exercise with many people on base who we may not know," the captain said. "It helps build the esprit de corps and gives us a sense of being part of something much larger than ourselves."
