460th SW Public Affairs amasses AFPSC awards Published Feb. 11, 2014 BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Congratulations to the entire 460th Space Wing Public Affairs Office for earning numerous 2013 Air Force Space Command-level Public Affairs Communication Excellence Awards and Air Force Media Contest Awards. The PA office earned the following Public Affairs Communication Excellence Awards: Senior Airman Darren Scott Outstanding Communication Airman (E1-E4) Award This award is presented to the Airman who demonstrates an outstanding ability to assist in planning and execution of communication activities and also creates products that achieve desired communication effects. This Airman must demonstrate excellence in primary duties, training, teamwork, followership and leadership amongst peers. Tech. Sgt. Kali Gradishar Staff Sgt. Christopher S. Frost Outstanding Communication NCO (E5-E6) Award Named for the PA NCO who was killed in a helicopter incident while deployed in support of Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq, this award is presented to the NCO who demonstrates an outstanding ability to deliver content to the proper publics while meeting their communication needs. This NCO must demonstrate exceptional technical, leadership and managerial skills during execution and improvement of public affairs programs. 460th SW Public Affairs Best Issues Management Award This award is presented to the public affairs unit for managing an exceptional communication program undertaken to deal with issues that could extraordinarily affect an organization or its mission. Exceptional issues management programs are anticipatory and reactive, demonstrating a comprehensive use of all public affairs capabilities and a disciplined approach that can serve as a benchmark for other programs.
