Team Buckley to host holiday blood drive Published Dec. 18, 2013 460th Space Wing Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Team Buckley will be hosting a blood drive to benefit local hospitals from 8-9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Buckley Health and Wellness Center. Bonfils Blood Center, a local organization that has supported blood donations for 70 years, will facilitate the donations and provide blood to local hospitals across Colorado. According to the Bonfils website, blood donations drops by an average of 20 percent during the holidays, lowering the blood supply to critical levels. Every donation of whole blood benefits up to three people.
