BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo.-The Aurora Public Schools Board of Education will hold an open meeting 6 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Dr. Ed and Patricia Lord Board Room in the Education Services Center in Aurora, Colo., regarding the enrollment growth and capacity challenges of the public schools.

APS continues to experience enrollment growth, especially at prekindergarten through 8th grade schools. Based on projected enrollment growth over the next four years, APS is anticipating facility challenges due to overcrowded schools. The meeting is designed to discuss the options to address enrollment growth, with a focus on schools near the E-470 corridor.

A second meeting is scheduled Dec. 17 requesting direction on the next steps to take.
