Team Buckley donated 193 coats during a coat drive Nov. 1-11 held on base to benefit those in need this holiday season.

The coats were distributed Nov. 23 to three shelters: the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, ACTS Resource Center and the Comitis Crisis Center in Denver.

"We tried to get them out as soon as we could because of the cold weather we've been having," said Airman 1st Class Estevan Jojola, 460th Security Forces Squadron and leader of the event.

Collection boxes were placed inside various locations around base, including the Buckley Housing Office, the Buckley Chapel, the commissary, The Exchange and the 460th SFS building.

According to Jojola, the drive was a great accomplishment, resulting in an abundance of men's, women's and children's coats.
