Active-duty U.S. military members continue to receive free RTD services Published Nov. 6, 2013 DENVER -- The Regional Transportation District Board of Directors approved extending through Dec. 31, 2014, the allowance for all active-duty U.S. military personnel to ride free on all RTD services. The action passed unanimously during the monthly RTD Board meeting. All members of the Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves are entitled to ride free on any RTD service including special services such as SkyRide and BroncosRide. "RTD is honored once again to extend this service to our active military personnel," said Lorraine Anderson, RTD chairwoman. "RTD recognizes the sacrifices our military personnel have to make every day, and we hope that in some small way, this helps reward their service to this country." To be eligible to ride for free, all active-duty military personnel must either be wearing the appropriate Class A or Class B uniforms or present an active-duty military ID card.
