Earth Day
Earth Day was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson April 22, 1970. Since then the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and other laws have been passed to improve the environment. Buckley Air Force Base is active in renewable energy programs, participates in resource conservation efforts and encourages base members to engage in rideshare inititatives.
