Lower North Fork Fire
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- A family house destroyed during the Lower North Fork Fire in Jefferson County, Colo. Mar. 29, 2012. This fire destroyed more than 27 houses and four thousand acres of land. The 2nd battalion 135th Aviation Regiment, an Army Aviation partner unit on Buckley Air Force Base, was called to aid the forestry service through the use of UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, dropping water onto hotspots.
